About this Learning Opportunity

In this presentation, we will help teachers define and understand trauma, toxic stress and acute stress and how it can affect learners. The workshop will be experiential and cover many topics including adverse childhood experiences, child development, neuroscience, behaviour, and stress responses. Teachers will leave this session with a better understanding of trauma and how it can affect each learner in the classroom along with strategies on how to help manage, cope, and heal.
