About this Learning Opportunity

This session is based on the provincially established performance standards published by Alberta Education in subject specific information bulletins. This session will explore how to effectively use these standards to develop formative and summative assessments.   A blueprint that reflects the standards will be developed by participants.  As well, an overview of how to construct effective multiple-choice and numerical-response questions will be provided.  Common issues, errors and misconceptions in item development will be shown, as well as ways to improve the quality of machine-scored items.

This learning opportunity is being provided through funding from Alberta Education.
