About this Learning Opportunity
In this session, we will explore Scholastic Canada’s Resource, Take Action for Reconciliation currently available through NEW Learn Alberta. This resource will help teachers develop and apply foundational knowledge about Métis, First Nations and Inuit for the benefit of all students as outlined in the Alberta Education Teacher Quality Standard. During this 45-minute session, we will spend 30 minutes demonstrating each student book (4) and corresponding Teacher Guides. We will highlight the curriculum areas where this resource can be applied as well as the links to the various Learning outcomes. There will be a 15-minute Q & A following our presentation.
