This session supports implementation of  The Phonics Companion, written by Dr. George Georgiou and Kristy Dunn. Topics that will be covered include: 

·What is phonics and why should I teach phonics to my students?

·How can I assess my students' phonics knowledge?

·What is a good scope and sequence for teaching phonics?

·What does "The Phonics Companion" cover? We will walk you through the content of the book and a lesson plan.

Siobhan Murphy
