About this Learning Opportunity

Let’s get ready to roll up our sleeves and dig into the new Science Curriculum for Grades 4-6! This session will introduce participants to the organizing ideas in the new curriculum. Using content from the new curriculum, the session will demonstrate how the knowledge, understandings, and skills and procedures (KUSPs) work together to create deep learning opportunities for students. A quick tour of available resources on the ARPDC website and New LearnAlberta site will wrap up the session.

About the Facilitator

Ted Zarowny

Ted began his career in education as a Social Studies and English Language Arts teacher at the Junior High and High School levels.
