As Alberta's population continues to become more diverse, it becomes increasingly important for schools to explore ways to build partnerships with multlingual families. Newcomer families may not be familiar with Canadian school expectations or communication patterns, or may just assume the school structures are the same as their home country.
This session will explore five strategies related to fostering multilingual family engagement and collaboarting with multilingual communities.
