About this Learning Opportunity

Participants will be introduced to the new Grade K-3 Science curriculum. Participants will receive a broad overview of the organizing ideas, and an exploration of how the Knowledge, Understandings and Skills and Procedures (KUSPS) contribute to the learner outcomes. A brief introduction to Computer Science and Scientific Methods will include how the skills and procedures of these organizing ideas can be integrated into the other organizing ideas.

About the Facilitator

Ted Zarowny

Ted began his career in education as a Social Studies and English Language Arts teacher at the Junior High and High School levels. After teaching in a variety of communities in Saskatchewan and British Columbia, Ted moved to Alberta where held the position of principal at a school focused on gifted education.
