About this Learning Opportunity

Equatio is an innovative Math and STEM software tool that helps to level the math playing field for students and teachers by making it easy to create math that is both digital, editable, and accessible. Equatio enhances how math is both taught and learned, working across learning styles and environments.

Equatio was built on Universal Design for Learning principles, helping to guide the development for all learners and accommodating many different learning styles.  Not only does Equatio work across all platforms and many Learning Management Systems, it works inside our brand new product OrbitNote for accessible PDF material. Amelia Bird

Amelia Bird is a former Alberta math/science teacher and educational technology consultant who now combines her experience and passions working for Texthelp. She has a Masters in Educational Research from the University of Calgary and a Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning Mathematics. She believes that with the help of great teachers and innovative technology, students will be able to express their understanding in multiple ways and create diverse learning environments to suit their needs.
