About this Learning Opportunity
As ELA teachers, it is helpful to understand how you engage with the texts (paper or multimodal) you read, write, view, represent, speak, and listen. By having this understanding, you have more tools needed to more effectively assist your students to think as discipline specialists. In this session, you will be given an opportunity to become more cognizant of the thinking you - as an ELA teacher - use as you engage with various text. With this new metacognition, we can add to your lessons to improve student ELA thinking and application.
