About this Learning Opportunity

The TRC called for schools to integrate Indigenous Culture into their daily teachings. As part of Reconciliation, we are tasked with bettering our own understandings to move the integration of Indigenous Knowledge forward. This session will provide Grades 7-12 staff an opportunity to learn best practices for integrating Ways of Knowing into the curriculum. You will be provided with background knowledge and resources to begin preparing and integrating learnings into an upcoming unit. This will be a “roll up your sleeves” working session therefore, you may wish to work with a grade partner on the same unit or independently. Prior to the session, you should select an upcoming unit you would like to work on. You should have access to a laptop, computer or chromebook as you will be reviewing resources, working on your unit and coming back to the main presentation throughout our time together.

All learning opportunities with the ERLC regional team will focus on the Alberta Education and district priority areas.
