WEBINAR 1: Manage Stress and Anxiety, while Teaching Online Strategies to manage your stress and anxiety

The work of teachers in Alberta has changed dramatically in the past few weeks. Among these drastic changes is the need to deliver all education programs at a distance and to communicate with students, parents, colleagues and administrators daily while being at different locations. All of this combined with the fact that many teachers are at home with other responsibilities; some are physically isolated, juggling the work constraints of a spouse, or the demands of children at home with them. In addition, the ongoing stream of pandemic news keeps teachers in a state of hypervigilance.

These conditions puts enormous pressures on the daily work of teachers. It is normal to feel overwhelmed by these circumstances. Therefore, it is imperative to take concrete and immediate measures to preserve our well-being and maintain our work productivity.

In this 60-minute webinar, teachers will learn:
• Key concepts of stress and anxiety management.
• Ways to structure their work and personal day to maintain a healthy heart and mind.
