Target Audience

Gr. K-12 Teachers of FSL or French Immersion, Any adult desiring to practice their oral French

About this learning opportunity

Are you a teacher of French whose oral language skills could use a workout? Perhaps your French is out of shape or your confidence level could use a boost to match the level of French you teach. Maybe you are not a teacher at all and just want to dust off your high school French to put it to good use.

Whatever the reason, exercise your oral French skills in a fun, low-stress, collegial atmosphere where participants strengthen their language proficiency in this mixed level group. The only prerequisites are that you’ve had some French instruction in the past and that you are willing to take risks and laugh at your inevitable mistakes. All levels

Expect to spend two days hearing and speaking French, digging through the cobwebs of your brain to retrieve and use every long forgotten French lesson from your past. The linguistic workout will leave you exhausted in the best possible way, motivated and more confident to begin the school year. Post camp, you will be able to adapt and use all oral activities with your students of any age, language level or French program.

Join both days or only one. Have you attended a French Boot Camp in the past? Know that there will be lots of new activities and new conversations with new colleagues.

This session will be delivered in French.

This session addresses the TQS competencies

  • #2: Engaging in Career-Long Learning
  • #4: Establishing Inclusive Learning Environments
