About this Learning Opportunity
What does it mean to “know” your basic facts? Why are they so important?
Students with a strong sense of number are able to learn and recall their basic facts, perform mental math calculations and use their estimation skills. These students have a deep understanding of numbers and their relationships to one another. This session will provide ideas for helping students develop their own number sense, master the basic facts and use mental mathematics to empower them to become numerate citizens.
This learning opportunity is being provided through funding from Alberta Education.
