About this learning opportunity

This interactive one day workshop will engage you in exploring the newly approved Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) curriculum through the lense of implementation through capacity building. Capacity building is about developing the competence of those responsible for curriculum implementation.

Capacity building for curriculum implementation has three important dimensions:

  • Improving competence and positive attitudes;
  • Developing innovative pedagogical approaches and models;
  • Attracting community participation and resources.

This session will give you the opportunity to:

  • revisit how CTF has evolved in your school
  • examine best practices (types of questions asked, design of challenges or tasks, pedagogical stances, assessment plans)
  • determine next steps based on your data and create a plan to ensure you have fidelity to your implementation plan.

This learning opportunity is being provided through funding from Alberta Education.
