About this learning opportunity

You will have the opportunity to see aspects of Leduc Junior High’s CTF courses in operation, including grade 7 Experimenting with Painting and grade 7 Spanish. You will also learn about the organization of CTF at Leduc Junior High School, including how CTF courses are developed by staff and how they have incorporated formative assessment as a way to assess student skills and processes within CTF. Experienced staff will also share resources for course development, assessment and student-reflection.

There will be time for questions with school staff, opportunities to network with others and time to begin planning for the implementation in your own school.

This learning opportunity is being provided through funding from Alberta Education.

About the facilitator(s)

This Learning Walk/Talkthrough will be led by the Leduc Junior High School CTF Team and is based on a practitioner to practitioner model that supports collective inquiry and reflective practice.

Louise Osland has been an educator for over 40 years and prior to joining the Edmonton Regional Learning Consortium, she worked as a principal and supervisor with Edmonton Public Schools. She has led AISI projects, managed teams, facilitated sessions and collaborated with colleagues.
