A basic knowledge of Notebook Software and the Notebook toolbar is highly recommended
Are you looking to take your SMART Board skills to the next level? This session will explore best practices for teaching and learning with a SMART Board. You’ll have the opportunity to explore ways to create engaging and dynamic lessons using SMART Notebook software. Please bring ideas and/or resources for lesson creation.
In this session, you’ll:
- Explore ways to pull together SMART Tools, gallery items and the Lesson Activity Toolkit to create engaging lesson activities.
- Learn how to add rich content such as video and sound to lesson resources.
- Create a lesson using SMART Notebook Software.
Please bring a USB drive to save your resources.
This learning opportunity is subsidized as a result of a grant from Alberta Education to support implementation and will model technology integration in the core subject areas.
About the facilitator(s)
Karla Holt is an education technology consultant. She currently facilitates professional learning on integrating technology into the curriculum as well as supporting classroom teachers on integrating technology to support all learners. Prior to this, Karla worked at a technology specialist school and a technology outreach centre in England where technology was at the centre of all lessons.
