About this learning opportunity
|
This session focuses on: TPK (Technological Pedagogical Knowledge) - How to use the technology effectively, i.e. what are these tools and how can I use them to engage students in deeper learning? |
A basic knowledge of Notebook Software and the Notebook toolbar is is highly recommended - this is NOT a beginning SMARTboard session.
Looking for new ways to use your SMART Board as a learning center? In this practical session, you will explore center activities you can use on your SMART Board as well as discuss classroom considerations when setting up your learning center(s). You will experiment with using a variety of online interactive resources, SMART tools, and the Lesson Activity toolkit and Activity Builder as center activities, and you will have the opportunity to create and share center resources during the session.
In this session, you’ll...
- explore how to use page recording activities for centers
- create links to online interactive activities
- use the Notebook Gallery and Lesson Activity Toolkit to create interactive center activities.
- create center resources to use in your class.
Please bring a USB drive to save your resources.
This learning opportunity is subsidized as a result of a grant from Alberta Education to support implementation and will model technology integration in the core subject areas.
