About this learning opportunity
Explore and deepen your knowledge of Trevor Calkin's Power of Ten program. Emphasis will be on strategies that encourage students to make connections and build their numeracy skills. Topics include looking into teaching all the math strands each week, incorporating calendar and graphing activities every day, learning place value strategies that really work, using projects to reinforce the curriculum's big ideas, and using the ten frame to develop basic fact strategies.
This learning opportunity is subsidized as a result of a grant from Alberta Education to support implementation.
