About this learning opportunity
This half-day session will provide information about the purpose of the Mathematics 6 Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) and its connection to The Alberta K - 9 Mathematics Program of Studies. You will have an opportunity to analyze your school results and to talk with colleagues about issues related to student performance at the provincial level and at your individual classroom levels.
Sample questions from the 2010 & 2011 Math 6 PATs will be discussed to help illustrate the process of item selection and test development. You will also have the opportunity to engage in conversation that is specifically related to the Math 6 PAT and to the provincial assessment program in general.
This session is a repeat of the November 23, 2011 session and will be repeated in the afternoon via videoconference.
This learning opportunity is subsidized as a result of a grant from Alberta Education to support implementation.
